I am always looking for new makeup brands and trying new products. I came across Furless Cosmetics on Instagram and immediately fell in love with the packaging and had to try them out!
They currently make cruelty free and vegan makeup brushes and loose pigments. I am always a sucker for a good makeup brush and any kind of eye makeup.
These are the loose pigments.
$18 (buy them here)
I would also suggest checking their Instagram because they frequently offer coupon codes!
The packaging is gorgeous. They come in an acrylic jar with deep navy screw top adorned with an antique gold scarab. They are nice and lightweight but definitely sturdy. They hold .28 oz of pigment. The names of each pigment are clearly visible across the front, and ingredients are listed under the product.
Now let’s talk formula and performance! In all honesty I would still have been happy with these even of they weren’t great because the packaging looks so luxe, but, they are amazing! These pigments are very easy to work with and have beautiful shift and shimmer to them. To apply I sprayed a detail brush with a fixitave spray and the application was smooth and I got a beautiful and even look. They are long wearing and don’t fade when they are on.
Furless has a ton of shades available, from bright green to deep mocha. I am very happy with the three that I received. The shades I have are Shady, Sinister, and Tainted.
All of these pigments perform equally well and I honestly have nothing negative to say. These do not have a sifter but they do have a tabbed cover that I would recommend keeping on, under the cap, when you aren’t using it to prevent making a mess and losing product.
HOW TO WEAR
When wearing pigments on the eyes you want to make sure you use some sort of a setting spray or a liquid or cream primer so that the product stays. I also like to have a small detail eye brush to be able to get into the corners of the eyes easier.
These pigments wore beautifully on the eyes, but I wanted to have a little extra fun with them and get creative!
I applied Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Doll Parts (buy it here) to my lips. I let it dry.
With a brush and a small amount of setting spray I applied Furless Cosmetics Loose Pigment in Shady all over the lips.
It gave me a really cool metallic lip, and some serious Kylie Cosmetics vibes!
I also think some of these lighter shades could totally double as a highlighter!
I will definitely be purchasing more of these! I plan on doing a tutorial with some of these soon as well.
